It has a strap bow and a diamond-shaped foot decorated with carved crossed lines. This type of brooches was very common among Gothic cultures between the mid-3rd and the early 5th century AD.
It "has the bow wrapped in wire and the foot decorated with metopes. Its form has an affinity to type Praga, although it seems slightly earlier than the classic specimens of this type due to its construction and dimensions."
