The hoard was presented to Siebold at the Royal Coin Cabinet on the 13th of January 1892, but its whereabouts was lost by 1912. In 1958 the hoard, now in private hands, was evaluated and photographed by LMKK Muenster. Another hoard of six silver coins in an urn may have been at the same site at an earlier date.
