Summary

Found in the necropolis of Hawara during the excavations of W.M. Flinders Petrie in 1888, in a jar and interpreted as a funeral offering by Flinders Petrie. The hoard comprised 1 small provincial bronze coin of Trajan (18 mm), 2629 late Roman coins and 369 cast imitations.
